Yunala Tjukurrpa (Bush Carrot)
Synthetic Polymer on Canvas
91x76 cm
In this painting Adrian depicts the Yunala Tjukurrpa, a story passed down from his father. The one continuous line that intricately weaves across the canvas represents the roots hidden underground. The four pronged shapes are the grass that push up to signal where to dig. Through this work, Adrian is also able to express the significant memories he holds of digging for Yunala ,or bush carrots, with his father near Kiwirrkurra.
