Kungka Kutjarra Napanangka (Two Napanangka Women)Daisy is telling the story of two Napanangka sisters associated with Dreaming at Pikilyi (Vaughan Springs). In this painting the sisters are performing a traditional ceremony with other women. The sisters traveled across the land collecting Bush Tucker from various places including Mangaraka, Ulumburra and near Papunya going back to Pikilyi. If depicted, the central circle is made up of ‘U’ shapes or women sitting cross legged, two of which are the Napanangka sisters sitting opposite each other. The circles are the site where the women are holding their ceremony and may also indicate water or rock holes where water can be found. The background design represents the landscape in that particular area and can depict body paint designs used for ceremonies. The curved black lines are the cliffs.
